Erich Freiherr von Seckendorff

Erich Erwin Heinrich August Veit Freiherr von Seckendorff was a highly decorated Generalmajor in the Wehrmacht during World War II from the Seckendorff family. He was also a recipient of the Knights Cross of the Iron Cross. The Knights Cross of the Iron Cross was awarded to recognise extreme battlefield bravery or successful military leadership. Erich Freiherr von Seckendorff died onSeptember 1944 in Lagarde, France. He was posthumously promoted to Generalmajor.
